you answer phone requests?
We will answer general questions regarding our record series. We will not handle any specific research questions. Requests need to be made by visiting the facility, e-mail, or regular mail.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We now
accept credit cards for mail and email requests through the Official Payment
Corp. The link is provided on our homepage. If you have any problems or questions with
using this feature please contact the customer service number located at the
bottom of the Official Payment Corp page.
We also accept checks or money orders.
Please do not send payment with your initial request.
Can
anyone answer my request?
Yes, all staff members answer research requests.
Can
you scan and e-mail me records?
No,
we do not have any plans for this capability.
Do you have family files, church records, census records, cemetery lists or newspapers?
The York County Archives only has county government records. You will need to contact The York County Heritage Trust for these records.
Do
you hold military records?
The York County Archives does not hold any military records. You will need to contact the Pennsylvania State Archives.
