Who can file for Protection
From Abuse?

 

You can file for a Protection Order if the person who has or is trying to harm you is:

  • Your spouse or ex-spouse

  • Your current or former sexual / intimate partner

  • Your parent or child

  • A certain other blood relative
Note: If you are seeking a protection from abuse order and you are a minor who is not emancipated, you must have a parent or legal guardian file on your behalf.
