Legal
papers can be filed with the Court of Common Pleas at the York
County Judicial Center, which is located at 45 N. George Street,
York, PA 17401. A lawyer is not required to file papers.
The person(s) seeking protection must come to the Protection From Abuse Office
between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday - Friday. It
takes approximately 2 hours to complete the process.
If the Judicial Center is closed, you may file for an emergency
Protection Order through the District Justice. Contact
911 to connect to the District Justice on duty.
