About Us
The York County Clerk of
Courts office is responsible for all of the criminal court
records for the York County Court of Common Pleas. We
maintain a record of the docketing/events associated with
approximately 8,000 criminal cases per year (now available
on-line), schedule events (trials, pre-trial conferences,
current business) at the Court’s direction, and collect
approximately $10 to $11 million in costs, fines and restitution from
criminal defendants each year.
In addition to being the record keeper of the Criminal Division
of the York County Court of Common Pleas, documents accepted for
filing include:

Bonds filed by Tax Collectors and
Constables

Financial statements of Townships and
Boroughs
Other filings available in
our office are:

Annexation proceedings

Appointments/resignations of elections officers and Township/Borough
officers

Emancipations

Expungements
All records are open to the
public with the exception of juvenile cases and impounded criminal
cases. All civil court matters are handled by the York County Prothonotary’s office and marriage licenses can be obtained from
the Register of Wills office.
