The York County Commissioners established the York County Industrial Development Authority in 1967 under the provisions of the Pennsylvania Industrial and Commercial Development Authority Law, as amended.  The YCIDA was formed to allow companies to utilize tax-exempt financing as provided under federal law.  The YCIDA provides this funding through the Industrial Revenue Bond program (IRB) and the Pennsylvania Economic Development Financing Authority (PEDFA).  The YCIDA has served as a conduit for tax-exempt financing enabling several York County companies to expand operations.
