This guide was developed as a practical tool to assist the public, school staff and Children and Youth Services in working together for the betterment of the children and families in our community.

If you suspect a child is being abused, neglected or being harmed you may file a report in  any of the three ways noted below:

 

1.      Call York County Children and Youth Services at: 717- 846-8496 or 1-800-729-9227

2.      Complete a CY47 Referral Form and send to York County Children and Youth Services:

×    Print the form for your file or save in your computer.

 

×        Mail (Children and Youth Services, 100 West Market Street, Suite 400, York, PA  17401) OR Fax (717-771-9884) the completed form to CYS for staff review for possible investigation.

SCHOOLS AND CHILD ABUSE SITUATIONS

This section was developed primarily for school employees, for students, for parents and for concerned citizens.   This information may be helpful to citizens outside of the school setting.

If you know that a school age child is inappropriately missing school you may report them by completing this On-line School Truancy Referral form.
